Wine Spotlight: S'mores
Who doesn’t love roasting marshmallows over an open fire until they are gooey, and then smashing them between graham crackers and chocolate to create a sweet, messy treat? One of these delicious snacks never seems to be enough; you are always left wanting s’more. In honor of this beloved indulgence, we created a new and fun sweet red wine called - you guessed it - S’mores.
Made from Chambourcin grapes grown in the Lake Michigan Shore Appellation, you will find flavors of sweet cherry and raspberry at the center of every sip, balanced with a touch of acidity. Intriguing notes of natural toasted marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker are infused with the Chambourcin creating a smooth yet decadent wine (7% RS).
S’mores has all the deliciousness of the classic treat without the gooey mess. Serve it at room temperature to highlight the warm cocoa and marshmallow tones, or slightly chilled to bring the fruitiness to the forefront. Try it with fall favorites like hearty chili, cocktail meatballs, or pot roast. Enhance your sweet endings by pairing a glass of S’mores with a chocolate brownie, chocolate chip cookie, salty chocolate trail mix, or chocolate covered bacon. Add it to your hot chocolate or warm it in a crockpot for a comforting treat.
