White Wine Grilled Chicken

White Wine Grilled Chicken

Fire up the grill and pour a glass of your favorite St. Julian dry white wine. It is time to make White Wine Grilled Chicken. This flavorful recipe uses white wine to tenderize the chicken while adding bright, fresh character that shines on the grill. Juicy, lightly charred, and full of savory depth, White Wine Grilled Chicken is an easy yet impressive option for warm-weather meals and casual outdoor gatherings. For an extra layer of flavor, serve this dish with a cool, tangy garlic yogurt sauce that balances the smoky grilled notes. Because this recipe calls for a dry white wine, we recommend our Unoaked Chardonnay, Braganini Reserve Riesling, or Coastline White Blend. Each wine brings crisp acidity and clean structure that enhances the marinade and complements every bite!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 1cup dry white wine
  • 1cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1tsp sea salt
  • 1tsp black pepper
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Garlic Sauce

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 14 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. For garlic sauce, mix yogurt with sour cream, parsley, garlic. Add salt and pepper. Cover and put in fridge for at least 4 hours.
  2. In another dish, mix all other ingredients, except the chicken breasts and garlic sauce. Add chicken breasts and flip to coat well. Cover the dish with a plastic wrap and let marinate in the fridge for 2 hours.
  3. Set your grill to medium-high heat. Put chicken breasts on a greased grill (keep the marinade), close the cover and cook for about 7 minutes (baste the chicken breasts with the marinade a few times). Flip the chicken breasts and keep cooking for about 5 minutes or until the chicken is golden and not pink inside. Serve with yogurt and garlic sauce.
