White Wine Ice Cream

White Wine Ice Cream

Cool down with a scoop of White Wine Ice Cream, a refreshing and unexpected treat that is perfect for warm days. This simple recipe transforms sweet white wine into a smooth, creamy dessert with bright flavor and an elegant twist. Made with just a few ingredients, White Wine Ice Cream feels indulgent while remaining easy to prepare at home. For an extra pop of freshness, top your White Wine Ice Cream with berries for a beautiful balance of sweetness and fruit. Because this recipe shines with a sweeter style of wine, we recommend On the Town, Braganini Reserve Winemaker’s Series Harvest Select Chardonnay, or Niagara. Each brings lush fruit character and natural sweetness that make this frozen dessert irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz sweet white wine
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • fresh berries for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the whipping cream to a bowl. Whisk on low-medium speed for 2-3 minutes, or until it’s whipped and soft peaks have formed.
  2. Add the sugar to a blender or food processor, pulse the sugar until a super fine (but not powdery) consistency is reached.
  3. Add the sugar to a separate mixing bowl and stir in the wine until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into the whipped cream and whisk just until incorporated.
  5. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and cover. Place in the freezer until frozen firm, ~4 hours
  6. Scoop the ice cream into bowls and serve topped with the fresh berries. Enjoy!
