St. Julian Winery & Distillery, Michigan’s oldest craft distillery and the state’s largest and longest-operating winery, introduces a new lineup of spirits: Gold Agave and Silver Agave.
St. Julian has crafted premium spirits since 1998 using its Christian Carl Copper Still. Recently, the launch of the St. Julian Spirits Club introduced Agave as its debut limited-release spirit. This small-batch release followed the traditional Extra Añejo style. The distillery aged it for more than five years in Reposado tequila barrels at full strength in Paw Paw, Mich.
Now, St. Julian proudly adds Gold and Silver Agave as permanent additions to its craft spirits portfolio. These spirits feature a blend of agave and cane sugar spirits. Through careful aging and barreling, each expression delivers its own distinct flavor profile. As a result, Gold and Silver Agave join St. Julian’s established lineup of brandy, bourbon, whiskey, vodka, and rum.
“Gold and Silver Agave Spirits reflect our commitment to quality and innovation,” says Bob Bilton, Head Distiller. “From harvesting the agave plants to blending and aging the spirits, every step requires precision and passion. Ultimately, each sip showcases the dedication behind our craft.”
Gold Agave uses agave sourced from Mexico and follows the Reposado style. It offers notes of roasted agave, baking spices, butter, and vanilla. Meanwhile, Silver Agave also features Mexican agave but follows the Blanco style. Its flavor profile includes roasted agave, jasmine, vanilla, and white pepper.
Gold and Silver Agave are available for purchase and pick-up at all St. Julian tasting rooms. Locations include Paw Paw, Frankenmuth, Union Pier, Dundee, Troy, and Rockford, Mich.
