New Tasting Room Coming to Gaylord, Michigan

St. Julian Winery & Distillery, Michigan’s oldest and largest winery, announces plans for a new tasting room in Gaylord, Michigan. The team is currently building the location at 2250 M-32. St. Julian expects to open the tasting room in late summer or early fall 2026.

The Gaylord tasting room will expand St. Julian’s presence in northern Michigan. It will provide residents and visitors with a welcoming destination. Guests can enjoy tastings of award-winning wines, spirits, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages. They can also shop seasonal selections and discover new releases from Michigan’s leading winery and distillery.

“We are thrilled to bring the St. Julian experience to Gaylord,” says Apollo Braganini II, President of St. Julian Winery & Distillery. “Northern Michigan remains an important destination for travelers and wine enthusiasts. As a result, we look forward to becoming part of the Gaylord community. This new location will give guests a place to gather, explore our products, and enjoy our hospitality. For more than a century, hospitality has remained at the heart of St. Julian.”

The new tasting room reflects the welcoming atmosphere guests expect from St. Julian locations across Michigan. Additionally, the design showcases the company’s commitment to quality and customer experience. St. Julian currently operates tasting rooms in Paw Paw, Union Pier, Rockford, Dundee, Troy, and Frankenmuth. The Gaylord location will further strengthen the company’s presence throughout Michigan. It will also create another destination for visitors seeking Michigan-made wines and spirits.

“Gaylord’s central location, strong tourism industry, and vibrant community make it a natural fit for St. Julian,” continues Braganini. “For years, we have welcomed guests from northern Michigan to our tasting rooms. Now, we are excited to bring a location closer to many customers. Furthermore, we look forward to introducing new visitors to our Michigan-made wines and spirits.”

Founded in 1921, St. Julian Winery & Distillery remains family-owned and operated. The company proudly produces a diverse portfolio of wines, spirits, and ciders crafted in Michigan.

Meanwhile, construction continues on the new Gaylord tasting room. St. Julian will share additional details as work progresses. These updates will include grand opening celebrations, operating hours, and tasting room features.
