St. Julian Winery & Distillery, Michigan’s oldest craft distillery and the state’s largest and most enduring winery, is proud to announce the release of its latest innovative creation: Blackberry Aged in Bourbon Barrels.
This distinctive sweet wine sets itself apart with a rich, luscious flavor profile that beautifully marries the natural sweetness of ripe blackberries with the complex, smoky notes imparted by aging in charred bourbon barrels. The wine’s aromatic profile features enticing hints of blackberry cobbler, delicate lilac, and blackberry jam, creating a multi-layered tasting experience.
“Our goal was to craft a wine that captures the vibrant fruitiness of blackberries while embracing the depth and warmth of bourbon aging,” says Nancie Oxley, Vice President of Winemaking at St. Julian. “The result is a bold, flavorful expression that’s smooth, indulgent, and perfect for those seeking something truly unique.”
Blackberry Aged in Bourbon Barrels was initially available exclusively to St. Julian Wine Club members, who are among the first to experience the latest creations and limited-edition wines. Crafted from a carefully selected blend of blackberries and classic grape varietals—Chancellor, Chambourcin, and DeChaunac—this red blend exemplifies St. Julian’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
Blackberry Wine Aged in Bourbon Barrels is now available for purchase online at www.stjulian.com, with shipping options to most U.S. states.
