Ingredients
- 1 ½ ounces agave spirit
- ½ ounce jalapeño simple syrup
- 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice, plus wedges for garnish
- 2 ounces sparkling water
- ½ ounce fresh lime juice
- ¼ ounce agave nectar or simple syrup, or to taste
- Coarse sea salt, for the rim of the glasses
- Ice
Instructions
- To create the simple syrup, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and a jalapeño in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat, until sugar has melted. Set aside for 10 minutes to allow the syrup to cool and infuse. Strain out the jalapeño.
- Rim a tall glass with lime juice and Tajin spice.
- Add the agave spirit, lime juice, and jalapeño simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake until frosty, and strain into a serving glass over fresh ice.
- Top with grapefruit soda, and garnish with a fresh wedge of lime.
