Legal purchase age

St. Julian is committed to responsibly selling our products to only those individuals who are at or above legal purchase age. All wine may be sold and delivered only to a person who is of or above legal purchase age (21 years old).

Each order you place from St. Julian requires proof that you are at least 21 years old and that the recipient of any wine shipment is also at least 21 years old. At the time of delivery, any shipment containing an alcohol beverage product will require the signature of an adult, with valid picture identification issued by a government agency, to prove fulfillment of the legal purchase age requirement of 21 years.

Upon making your first purchase from the St. Julian online shop, you must verify that you are of legal purchase age. If we aren’t able to verify the age of the purchaser, we may suggest additional information to include in the order to enhance our ability to verify legal purchase age. You might be required to call a customer-service representative to provide additional information before completing an order.

The best way to assist us in the age verification process is to ensure that the name and address of the purchaser is the same as a piece of government-issued identification (such as a driver’s license or passport).

If we are unable to verify that the purchaser is of legal purchase age, we will be unable to complete the order online and suggest that you call (800) 732-6002 to speak with a customer-service representative.

We ship using the following carriers:

  • UPS Ground

You may also pick your order up at any of our six locations.

At checkout, select Pickup, then select the pickup location under “Delivery/pickup information.”

Pickup orders are ready the same day they’re placed.

All shipment destinations are checked against state and local regulations to ensure that we may ship to that location. The following are potential shipping destinations:

  • Your personal residence or place of work, if applicable
  • A local Fedex or UPS pickup location

Having your order shipped to a local FedEx or UPS store or retail partner is especially convenient if you aren’t able to wait at home all day for a delivery. St. Julian ships to most states within the United States, but we don’t currently ship to international destinations.

Delivery of any shipment containing alcohol requires a signature of someone who is at least 21 years old, but this may be someone other than the person the shipment is addressed to. We recommend shipping your order to an address in which a person at least 21 years old is available to sign for the shipment during normal business hours.

We cannot ship to the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, and Vermont.

If several shipment attempts are unsuccessful, the shipment will be returned to our warehouse and you may call St. Julian customer service to reschedule the delivery. Shipping charges apply to any rescheduled shipments.

Orders typically ship within one to five business days.

St. Julian is unable to monitor current and future weather conditions in your location. We also aren’t able to speak to individual carriers’ delivery processes. Therefore, opting to receive your order in this way does come with potential delays inherent to shipping.

Please note that we don’t “cold pack” any boxes for delivery. If you’d like to place a shipping order and have it held for a later delivery, please call (800) 732-6002 to place your order.

You can view your active orders by logging into your account, selecting Hello [your name] in the upper right corner of the page, then selecting Order History on the left side of the page. If the order status shows “In process,” it means that we‘re still preparing the package for shipment and it hasn’t left our warehouse. If the order shows “Shipped,” it means that the order is in transit.

Once a shipment leaves the warehouse, you’ll receive an email with the tracking number(s) at the email address provided on the order. Please refer to each carrier’s website or customer service center for tracking your shipments.

There are a few things that could prevent or delay your order: weather holds, no one of legal purchase age being present to sign for your shipment, or a carrier delay.

If your order doesn’t arrive when you expect it to, we suggest the following steps:

    1. Check the order status by logging into your account, selecting Hello [your name] in the upper right corner of the page, then selecting Order History on the left side of the page. If the order status shows “In process,” it means that we‘re still preparing the package for shipment and it hasn’t left our warehouse. If the order shows “Shipped,” it means that the order is in transit.
    2. Use the carrier information and tracking number(s) to review the shipment status with the carrier.
    3. At any time, you may call (800) 732-6002 or email orders@stjulian.com to have a customer-service representative assist you in determining the status of your order.

Any rescheduled shipments are the responsibility of the customer.

If you need to update or change your order, please call (800) 732-6002 or email orders@stjulian.com, and a customer-service representative will assist you. Changes to your order aren’t guaranteed.

Shipping and handling fees depend on weight. Shipping costs depend on the volume ordered. We offer $10 shipping when you order in increments of 12 (you can mix and match bottles). You can also join one of our Wine Clubs or the Shore to Door Discount Club for discounted shipping rates.

Tax is calculated based on all products in your order, your shipping destination, and shipping and handling charges. In some cases, products—as well as shipping and handling—may incur different tax rates.
