St. Julian Winery is steeped in family and tradition. For nearly a century, our winemakers have embraced the opulent Michigan soil to grow the beautiful grapes that make our wonderful wines. The shores of Lake Michigan boast the oldest commercial grape expanse in the state. Lake Michigan AVA vineyards date back to 1867, with lake effect taming the strong Michigan winters to produce a warmer growing season in the rich glacial moraine soils. We are proud to be a part of this robust tradition of produce, art, and craftsmanship.
We hold the distinction of being Michigan’s oldest, largest, and most awarded winery. Our business has remained within the family since its inception, and we are consistently releasing new wines and products. Above all else, we are deeply committed to the artesian process of wine making. Our goal has never been to make the most but always to make the best.
The offerings of St. Julian Winery are extremely diverse. Our focus on local, high quality fruit and our 95 plus years of experience give us a variety of products sure to please any palette. We invite you to explore our selection and encourage you to discover something new.Ciders
