1 cup ground flax seeds*
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sliced almonds, optional


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In the bowl of a food processor, combine ground flax seed, Parmesan, garlic powder and salt. Pulse until combined then, with machine running, slowly drizzle in water until dough is formed.  Add sliced almonds, if desired then spoon dough onto a sheet of waxed or parchment paper then cover it with another sheet of the same then, using a rolling pin, roll dough out into a 1/8- inch sheet. With a knife or cutter, cut into desired shapes and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake until lightly brown—about 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
